Mechanism of action

Nimesil has antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic effects.

Indications and usage

Rheumatism, ankylosing spondylitis (ankylosing spondylitis), osteoarthritis, synovitis, tendinitis, tendovaginitis, bursitis, pain syndrome (algomenorrhea, post-traumatic pain), febrile syndrome in infectious and inflammatory diseases, spinal pain, neurosis, neurosis, neurosis, neurosis, neuropathy, neuropathy, inflammation diseases, spinal pain, neuralgia, neuralgia, neuralgia, neuralgia, neuralgia, neuralgia, neuralgia - motor apparatus.

Contraindications

Dosage and administration

Adverse reactions

Nimesil is usually well tolerated, however, at the beginning of a course of treatment or at high dosages, the following disorders may occur.

From the side of the central nervous system: rarely - dizziness, headache, drowsiness, encephalopathy (Reye's syndrome), fear, nervousness, nightmares.
With a decrease in dosages and a subsequent more careful increase in dose, these phenomena spontaneously disappear.

On the part of the digestive tract: rarely, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting; sometimes constipation, flatulence, gastritis; very rarely - dyspepsia, tarry stools, Gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers and perforation of the stomach.

Respiratory: rarely - shortness of breath, bronchospasm.

Cardiovascular: rarely - tachycardia, hypertension, hemorrhage, hot flashes.

Special senses: very rarely - visual impairment.

From the skin: hyperergic reactions (itching, skin redness, skin rash), sweating; rarely erythema, dermatitis; very rarely - urticaria, swelling of the face, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, angioedema.

Liver and biliary system: rarely, hepatitis, jaundice, cholestasis, an increase in liver enzymes.

From the kidneys and urinary system: rarely - dysuria, hematuria, urinary retention; very rarely - renal failure, oliguria, interstitial nephritis.

Hemic and lymphatic: rarely anemia, eosinophilia; very rarely - thrombocytopenia, pancytopenia, purpura.

Nimesulide enhances the action of drugs that reduce blood clotting; may decrease the effects of Furosemide. Nimesulide may increase the possibility of side effects when taking Methotrexate. Increases the level of lithium in the plasma. Due to the high degree of nimesulide binding to plasma proteins, patients who are simultaneously treated with hydantoin and sulfonamides should be under the supervision of a physician, undergoing examination at short intervals. Nimesulide may enhance the effect of cyclosporine on the kidneys.

Overdosage

Symptoms: apathy, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting. Gastrointestinal bleeding may occur.

Treatment: symptomatic and supportive therapy. The specific antidote is absent.
