Indications and usage

The content of vitamins in the drug Berocca ® Plus selected for therapeutic use. The drug is taken orally. The tablet, film-coated, washed down with water. Effervescent pill is pre-dissolved in a glass of water.

Adults and children aged 15 years and older appoint 1 tab. / day.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose of the drug.

Adverse reactions

Special notes

Ascorbic acid may affect the results of the urine glucose test, despite the fact that it does not affect the level of glucose in the blood. Reception of vitamin C should be stopped for several days before carrying out such tests.

Possible staining of urine in yellow color, which has no clinical significance and is explained by the presence of riboflavin in the preparation.

The drug does not contain fat-soluble vitamins.

Berocca® Plus does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and control moving machinery.

Overdosage

No cases of overdose have been reported.

Symptoms: gastrointestinal disturbances such as diarrhea and stomach discomfort are possible. Excessive intake of vitamin B6 (more than 20 tab. / day and for several months) can lead to symptoms of neuropathy.

Treatment: the patient should stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.

Drug Interactions

Pyridoxine at a dose of more than 5 mg can neutralize the effect of levodopa in patients with parkinsonism. However, such antagonism is not observed when using levodopa in combination with a decarboxylase inhibitor (for example, benserazide, cardbidopa).

Thiosemicarbazone and 5-fluorouracil neutralize the action of thiamine.

Antacid drugs inhibit thiamine resorption.

Neomycin, aminosalicylic acid and histamine H blockers2-receptors reduce the absorption of cyanocobalamin.

Acetylsalicylic acid reduces the absorption of ascorbic acid by about a third.

Oral contraceptives can reduce serum levels of cyanocobalamin, folic acid, pyridoxine, ascorbic acid.
