The drug activates cerebral blood flow, stimulates metabolic processes in the central nervous system. It has a positive effect on the bioelectrical activity of the brain. It has a positive effect on the parameters of the neurological status: it reduces the severity of the asthenic, cephalgic, vestibular and ventricular, cochleo-vestibular syndrome, as well as levels disorders in the emotional-volitional sphere (reduces anxiety, depression). Improves cognitive-mnestic functions and quality of life. It has a quick awakening effect in post-anesthetic depression of consciousness. With intravenous use of Cytoflavin in the first 12 hours from the onset of stroke, there is a decrease in the foci of ischemic and necrotic processes in the affected area, the restoration of neurological status and a decrease in the level of disability in the long-term period.

Indications and usage

Acute disorders of cerebral circulation, dyscirculatory (vascular) encephalopathy stage 1–2 and the consequences of cerebral circulation disorders (chronic brain ischemia), toxic and hypoxic encephalopathy in acute and chronic poisoning, endotoxicosis, post-anesthetic depression of consciousness.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity in patients on mechanical ventilation with a decrease in the partial pressure of oxygen in arterial blood of less than 60 mm Hg. Art., breastfeeding period.
Carefully - Nephrolithiasis, gout, hyperuricemia.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

The drug is contraindicated for use in pregnancy. If necessary, use during lactation should decide on the termination of breastfeeding.

Dosage and administration

In acute cerebrovascular accident (stroke) cytoflavin is administered intravenously slowly at a dose of 10 ml diluted in 200 ml of 5% glucose or saline twice a day for 10 days.
For the course of 20 ampoules (2 packages of the drug)
With severe disease (coma) a single dose can be increased to 20 ml of cytoflavin (2 ampoules) per course of 4 packs.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions in the form of pruritus are also possible.

Special notes

With caution used Cytoflavin for nephrolithiasis, gout, hyperuricemia.
Use the drug should be when controlling glucose levels in the blood plasma.
On the background of the introduction of the drug may stain urine in a light yellow color.

With simultaneous use of Cytoflavin, it should be noted that the riboflavin in its composition reduces the activity of Doxycycline, Tetracycline, oxytetracycline, Erythromycin and Lincomycin; not compatible with streptomycin.
When combined with the use of Cytoflavin, chlorpromazine, imizin, Amitriptyline, violate the inclusion of riboflavin in flavivinadine mononucleotide due to blockade of flavinokinaseand flavin adenine dinucleotide and increase its excretion in the urine.
With the simultaneous use of thyroid hormones accelerate the metabolism of riboflavin.
When used together, Cytoflavin reduces and prevents the development of side effects of chloramphenicol (impaired hematopoiesis, optic neuritis).
There is no established drug interaction between Cytoflavin and hematopoietic stimulants; antioxidants and anabolic steroids.

Storage conditions
