Active ingredient and dosage form

Longidase lyophilisate for solution for intramuscular and subcutaneous administration:
active substance: Longidaza with hyaluronidase activity of 1500 IU or 3000 IU.
atauxiliary substance: mannitol - up to 15 mg or 20 mg;
5 ampoules or 5 bottles per pack.

Mechanism of action

possesses enzymatic proteolytic (hyaluronidase) activity of prolonged action, immunomodulating, chelating, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

weakens the acute phase of inflammation, regulates (increases or decreases depending on the initial level) synthesis of inflammatory mediators (interleukin-1 and tumor necrosis factor), increases the body's resistance to infection and the humoral immune response.

Longidaza does not possess antigenic properties, mitogenic, polyclonal activity, does not have allergenic, mutagenic, embryotoxic, teratogenic and carcinogenic effects.

Indications and usage

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age as part of complex therapy for diseases accompanied by connective tissue hyperplasia:

• In pulmonology, urology, gynecology with the development of inflammation on the interstitial type:
  • pneumofibrosis, tuberculosis, alveolitis, tuberculoma;
  • chronic interstitial cystitis, adhesions in the pelvis, tuboperitoneal infertility.
• In orthopedics, surgery, cosmetology:
  • keloid, hypertrophic, retracted scars after pyoderma, injuries, burns, operations;
  • nonhealing wounds
  • joint contractures, arthritis, hematomas
  • adhesive disease;
• In dermatology and venereology:
  • limited scleroderma of various localization.
• To increase the bioavailability of drugs and diagnostic products.

Increased individual sensitivity.
Malignant neoplasms.
Pregnancy.
Children under 12 years of age (effectiveness and safety have not been studied).

Carefully - acute renal failure, pulmonary hemorrhage.

Subcutaneously (near the site of injury or under scar-modified tissue) or intramuscularly at a dose of 3000 IU in a course of 5 to 15 injections (depending on the severity of the disease) with an interval between injections from 3 to 10 days.

Methods of use are chosen by the doctor depending on the diagnosis, clinical course and severity of the disease, the age of the patient.
If necessary, a second course is recommended in 2-3 months.

In the case of treatment of diseases involving severe chronic productive process in the connective tissue, after a standard course, long-term maintenance therapy with Longidaza 3000 IU is recommended, with intervals of 10-14 days between injections.

To increase the bioavailability of drugs, a dose of 1500 IU is recommended.

For intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal administration, the contents of the ampoule are dissolved in 1.5–2.0 ml of a 0.25% or 0.5% solution of procaine. In case of intolerance to procaine, the drug is dissolved with 0.9% sodium chloride solution or water for injection.

For electrophoresis, the solution is prepared in distilled water, for inhalation - in 0.9% sodium chloride solution

The prepared solution for parenteral administration is not subject to storage.

Adverse reactions

Soreness at the injection site, rarely allergic reactions. In some individuals, local reactions are possible, which are expressed in the development of hyperimemia of the skin and in some cases in the swelling of the tissue at the site of administration. All reactions quench after 48-72 hours.

Longididase can be combined with antibiotics, antiviral, antifungal and antihistamine drugs, glucocorticosteroids, bronchodilators, cytostatics.
Increases the bioavailability of drugs, accelerates the onset of analgesia with the introduction of local anesthetics.

Do not enter into the area of ​​infection, acute inflammation, tumor.
