Indications and usage

Insufficiency of cerebral circulation (recovery period of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke), encephalopathy of various origins, including alcoholism; Parkinsonism of vascular genesis, intoxication, brain injury and other diseases of the central nervous system, accompanied by a decrease in intellectual and mnestic functions; psychoorganic syndrome with a predominance of signs of asthenia and adynamia, asthenic syndrome; Labyrinthopathy, Meniere's syndrome; prevention of migraine and kinetoz.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, pregnancy, lactation, marked cardiac arrhythmias, coronary heart disease (severe), acute hemorrhagic stroke, renal and / or liver failure, children under 18 years of age (due to lack of data). Patients with rare hereditary diseases such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take Vinpotropile.

Dosage and administration

For patients 18 years and older: orally, before meals, 1-2 capsules 2-3 times a day. Last admission - 4 hours before bedtime. Maintenance dose -1 capsule 3 times a day. The duration of treatment is from 2-3 weeks to 2-6 months. Before the abolition of the dose should be gradually reduced.

Adverse reactions

Cardiovascular: ECG changes (ST segment depression, prolongation of the Q-T interval), tachycardia, extrasystole, blood pressure lability (BP) (often decrease).
From the side of the central nervous system (CNS): motor disinhibition, irritability, depression, asthenia, dizziness, headache, sleep disturbance (insomnia, increased drowsiness), mental agitation, imbalance, exacerbation of the course of epilepsy, anxiety, hallucinations, confusion, extrapyramidal disturbances, reduced ability to concentrate.
On the part of the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, heartburn, diarrhea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, gastralgia, constipation.
On the part of the metabolism: weight gain, increased sweating.
From the senses: vertigo.
For the skin: dermatitis, pruritus, urticaria, skin flushing.
Allergic reactions: hypersensitivity, Anaphylactic reactions, angioedema.

Special notes

The presence of prolonged QT syndrome and the use of drugs that cause prolongation of the QT interval require periodic ECG monitoring. In case of lactose intolerance, please note that one pill contains about 225 mg of lactose.
Influence on ability to drive motor transport and control mechanisms:Taking into account possible side effects, care should be taken when driving a car and performing work with machinery.

Drug Interactions

Increases:the risk of hemorrhagic complications on the background of Heparin therapy, the effects of thyroid hormones, antipsychotics (neuroleptics), indirect anticoagulants, psychostimulants.

Weakens:effect of anticonvulsant drugs (reduces convulsive threshold). Despite the lack of data confirming the possibility of interaction, it is recommended that caution be exercised while simultaneously prescribing with drugs of a central, anti-arrhythmic action.

Overdosage

Symptoms: increased severity of side effects.
Treatment: gastric lavage, Activated carbon intake, symptomatic therapy.
