Gastracid pills №12

Composition

Gastracid lozenges - flat round with a beveled edge or flat square with a beveled edge of white or white with a grayish-yellowish-greenish shade of color, with a slight smell of mint. On both sides of the pill engraving "NP" on a background of wood.

Aluminum hydroxide - 400.00 mg, Magnesium hydroxide - 400.00 mg;
Excipients: mannitol, sodium saccharinate, sucrose, corn starch, sorbitol, mint, magnesium stearate.

Pharmacological properties
Gastracid - Antacid. Neutralizes free hydrochloric acid in the stomach, which leads to a decrease in the digestive activity of gastric juice. Does not cause secondary hypersecretion of gastric juice. It has an adsorbing and enveloping effect, reduces the influence of damaging factors on the gastric mucosa.

Indications and usage

- Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase.
- Acute gastritis, chronic gastritis with increased and normal secretory function in the acute phase, duodenitis, enteritis.
- Hernia of the esophageal opening of the diaphragm, reflux esophagitis.
- Discomfort and epigastric pain with errors in diet, after taking medication, drinking coffee, nicotine, and alcohol.
- Prophylactically in the treatment of glucocorticosteroids and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, fructose intolerance, hypophosphatemia, marked impaired renal function, Alzheimer's disease, children under 10 years of age.
Pregnancy and lactation period
During pregnancy, the drug should be taken under the supervision of a doctor and not more than 3 days. Use in nursing mothers should be avoided.

Dosage and administration

Inside pills should be chewed or held in the mouth until completely absorbed.
Adults and children over 15 years: 1-2 pills 4 times a day after 1 hour after meals and in the evening before bedtime or in case of discomfort, epigastric pain, heartburn. The maximum daily dose is 12 tablets.
Children from 10 to 15 years prescribe half the recommended dose for adults.
For prophylaxis: 1 pill 15 minutes before taking medication that irritates the mucous membrane of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 15-20 days.

Constipation, nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, change in taste, hypermagnemia, hypophosphatemia, hypocalcemia, hypercalciuria, osteomalacia, osteoporosis, hyperaluminemia, encephalopathy, nephrocalcinosis, impaired kidney function, allergic reactions. In patients with concomitant renal insufficiency - thirst, lowering blood pressure, hyporeflexia.

Cautions

The interval between taking Gastracid and other medicines should be 1-2 hours.
With longer use (more than 20 days) requires regular medical supervision. The drug contains sorbitol, which is contraindicated in congenital fructose intolerance.

Storage conditions

At a temperature not higher than 25C, in a dry, dark place, out of the reach of children.
