Active ingredient

Tobrex 2X eye drops:
1 ml of eye drops contains tobramycin 3 mg;
Excipients: xanthan gum, mannitol, boric acid, trometamol, polysorbate 80, benzododecinium bromide, sulfuric acid and / or sodium hydroxide (to bring the pH), purified water;
in dropper bottles of plastic "Drop Tainer ™" in 5 ml.

Mechanism of action

Tobrex 2X has an antibacterial local, anti-inflammatory local effect.

Indications and usage

Infections of the eye and its appendages:
blepharitis;
conjunctivitis;
keratoconjunctivitis;
blepharoconjunctivitis;
keratitis;
iridocyclitis;
prevention of postoperative infections in ophthalmology.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity to Tobrex 2X components.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

There is not enough experience in using Tobrex 2X during pregnancy and lactation. The use of the drug during pregnancy, during lactation is possible in the case when the expected therapeutic effect outweighs the potential risk to the fetus and child.
Use in children. The drug can be used in pediatrics in children 1 year and older in doses similar to adults.

Adverse reactions

In some cases (1.5%), an allergic reaction develops, accompanied by itching, conjunctival hyperemia, tearing.
In 1% of cases, erythema and swelling of the eyelids, conjunctival edema, and discomfort in the eye are noted. With the local application of Tobrex 2X, a burning sensation and foreign body sensation in the eye may occur.
In less than 1% of cases, blepharitis, keratitis, eye pain, chemosis, deposition of crystals, corneal ulceration are observed.

Dosage and administration

In the conjunctival sac.1 drop of Tobrex 2x 2 times a day (in the morning and in the evening) during the week.
In the case of the development of an acute severe infection process on the first day, the drug is instilled 1 drop 4 times a day, then 1 drop 2 times a day until the end of the course of treatment.
Before each use, turn over the closed vial and shake it once. No need to shake the bottle more than 1 time.
Tobrex 2X can be used in pediatrics in children 1 year and older in doses similar to adults.

Store in a cool and dark place, protected from light and moisture, at a temperature not higher than 25 ° C.
