Recommendations when wearing contact lenses.
When wearing soft and hard contact lenses, Artelac Balance can be instilled into the conjunctival sac of the eye without removing the lenses.
Artelac Balance has a pink color, which is associated with the presence of vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin), but it does not leave stains on clothes and does not stain contact lenses.
Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug.
The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving and working with other mechanisms.
Even when used as prescribed, the drug can cause short-term blurred vision due to the formation of a band in the field of view, so when driving or working with other mechanisms, patients should wait until their eyesight is restored.
In the case of joint use with ophthalmic preparations, it is recommended to observe a pause of at least 15 minutes between instillation of Artelac Balance solution and the use of eye drops. Eye ointments should always be applied after instillation of the solution.
Hypersensitivity reactions are very rare. There may be burning, redness, foreign body sensation in the eye, blurred vision, tearing, swelling, itching, and pain in the eye. Artelac contains cetrimide as a preservative, which can cause eye irritation, especially with frequent or prolonged use, and can damage the cornea of the eye. Thus, for long-term treatment of chronic dry keratoconjunctivitis, preference-free drugs should be preferred.
