1 g of ointment contains ofloxacin 3 mg, excipients: liquid paraffin - 100 mg; wool fat - 50 mg; Vaseline white - 847 mg;

in tubes for 3 g.

Mechanism of action

Floxal has a broad spectrum antibacterial, bactericidal effect.

Indications and usage

Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the anterior part of the eye caused by microorganisms that are sensitive to ofloxacin:

blepharitis;

barley;

conjunctivitis;

dacryocystitis;

keratitis and corneal ulcer;

chlamydia infection of the eye;

prevention and treatment of bacterial infections after eye injuries and surgical interventions.

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to the components of Floxal;

pregnancy;

lactation.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions, transient conjunctival hyperemia, burning sensation, discomfort in the eyes, itching and dry conjunctiva, photophobia, tearing; rarely - dizziness.

Dosage and administration

Floxal used conjunctival.

Drops - instilled 1 drop in the conjunctival sac of the sore eye 2-4 times a day. It is not recommended to use Floxal more than 2 weeks.

Ointment - strips of ointment length of 1.5 cm lay in the lower eyelid of the patient's eye 2-3 times a day, in case of chlamydial infection - 5 times a day. It is not recommended to use the drug for more than 2 weeks.
