Biologically active food supplement is not a medicine.

Synbiotic (probiotic + prebiotic)

The development and strengthening of the child’s immunity is associated with the development of his intestinal microflora.

Microorganisms colonize human organs and systems, starting with his birth. The child, passing through the birth canal of the mother, receives protective beneficial bacteria from it and this microbial colonization is one of the most important stages in the formation of normal microflora of the gastrointestinal tract. It is believed that children born by caesarean section are more susceptible to infections, they later colonize the intestine with beneficial bacteria, and they are more likely to be exposed to other diseases.

A less important stage in the formation of microflora is the period of breastfeeding. During this period of life, the baby receives mother's milk, which ensures the formation of normal intestinal microflora. Mother's milk contains lactose, lysozyme, immunoglobulins, as well as bifidogenic components that promote the growth of bifidobacteria. All this is the indispensable components necessary for each baby to form normal intestinal microflora. Already after the first year of life, the composition of the intestinal microflora of the child in terms of quantitative and qualitative composition approaches that of adults.

Why is it important from the first days of a child’s life to take care of the balance of intestinal microflora?

The intestine is the largest defense system of the body, and its microflora performs many functions: protects the intestine from the settlement of bacteria that are not characteristic of it, stimulates the immune system, prevents the development of allergies (including atopic dermatitis) and inflammatory processes in the intestines, enhances the production of interferons, synthesizes Vitamins group B, A, K, folic acid, reduces the intoxication of the organism as a whole.

What factors may contribute to the violation of intestinal microflora?

- Caesarean section during labor1

- Artificial feeding (milk formulas)2

- Acceptance of certain drugs

- Diarrhea

It is proved that some groups of drugs have a direct impact on the gastrointestinal microflora:

- antibiotics - successfully fighting pathogenic microorganisms, but at the same time killing beneficial bacteria. Every third case of antibiotics causes diarrhea3;

- nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (including drugs containing paracetamol) - can cause damage to the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines, lead to inflammation, the formation of ulcers and erosions4;

- antifungal agents - You may have side effects such as decreased appetite, nausea, constipation or diarrhea, flatulence, pain in the stomach 5.

An attack of diarrhea is accompanied by partial leaching of microflora from the intestines of a child.

What are the symptoms of intestinal microflora?

Symptoms of intestinal microflora are diarrhea (diarrhea), dyspepsia (indigestion), constipation, flatulence (bloating), nausea, belching, vomiting, discomfort and abdominal pain, etc.

One of the ways to form and restore microflora is to eat about - and prebiotics.

Probiotics6 - live microorganisms, representatives of human normal flora, correcting the intestinal microflora (lacto-and bifidobacteria).

Prebiotics6 - food ingredients, mainly oligosaccharides. When ingested, they promote the growth and development of the normal intestinal microflora.

Synbiotics 6 - ingredients that are a combination of pro- and prebiotics. They have a mutually reinforcing effect on metabolic processes in the human body.

Maxilac® Baby is the first and only synbiotic7which contains 9 (nine) cultures of beneficial bacteria in the concentration necessary for the baby’s intestine - 1 billion (1 &№215; 109) CFU8.

Sinbiotic Maxilac® Baby contributes to the restoration and normalization of intestinal microflora in children (from 4 months), especially in situations involving the use of medicines that disturb the balance of microflora of the child's gastrointestinal tract.

Contained in the composition of the synbiotic Maxilac® Baby lactobacilli inhibit the growth of pathogenic microflora, provide a protective function of the body and naturally strengthen the immune system.

Bifidobacteria, which are also part of the Maxilac synbiotic® Baby, are involved in the synthesis of amino acids, proteins and vitamins, increase the absorption of Calcium ions, iron, vitamin D.

Fructo-oligosaccharides (a prebiotic in the composition of Maxilac® Baby) stimulate the rapid reproduction of beneficial bacteria and inhibit the development of pathogens, reduce intestinal contamination with toxins and improve its performance, stimulate motility, clear of toxins, serve to prevent constipation and diarrhea, contribute to the normalization of the digestive tract9.

Maxilac® Baby is a synbiotic specially created for children and produced in the form of a lyophilisate, the granules of which are protected by Micro MURE technology.® (Multi Resistant Encapsulation10). This technology protects Maxilac granules.® Baby from the action of factors of internal and external environment, so that most of the probiotic bacteria in the composition of the drug Maxilak® Baby enters the intestine, and does not dissolve in the stomach, which has a positive effect on the restoration of the gastrointestinal microflora, because the concentration of colonies of microorganisms increases from the stomach to the colon11.

Maxilac® Baby does not contain casein and preservatives, so it is safe for children with allergies to products of this group. Maxilac® Baby can be used by children with lactose intolerance.
