Mechanism of action
The preparation Neurobion contains a combination of neurotropic active substances of a complex of Vitamins of group B. Contains vitamins: thiamine (B1), pyridoxine (Bb) and cyanocobalamin (B12) play a special role as coenzymes in the intermediate metabolism occurring in the central and peripheral nervous system.
Therapeutic Vitamin B Administration1, AT6 and B12 compensates for the often insufficient intake of vitamins from food, which ensures the presence in the body of the necessary quantities of coenzymes. The combined use of vitamins of group B increases their therapeutic efficacy, since it is believed that the effectiveness of the combination is superior to the effectiveness of individual factors.
The therapeutic use of these vitamins in various diseases of the nervous system is aimed, on the one hand, to compensate for the existing deficit (possibly due to an increased need of the body due to the disease itself) and, on the other hand, to stimulate natural recovery mechanisms. At the same time, the analgesic effect of the vitamin B complex has a beneficial effect on the therapeutic outcome.
Indications and usage
In the treatment of the following neurological diseases:
trigeminal neuralgia
neuritis of the facial nerve
pain syndrome caused by diseases of the spine (intercostal neuralgia, lumboischialgia, lumbar syndrome, cervical syndrome, cervico-brachial syndrome, radicular syndrome caused by degenerative changes of the spine).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug Neurobion.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Adverse reactions
Possible allergic reactions, which mainly occur in the form of skin manifestations.
Special notes
With the introduction of vitamin B12 the clinical picture, as well as laboratory parameters with funicular myelosis or pernicious anemia, may lose their specificity.
Drug interactions
Pyridoxine. When applied simultaneously with levodopa, vitamin pyridoxine may reduce the anti-Parkinsonian effect of levodopa.
Enhances the action of diuretics.
Isonicotine hydrazide, penicillamine, cycloserine and estrogen-containing oral contraceptives weaken the effect of pyridoxine.
It is well combined with cardiac glycosides (pyridoxine enhances the synthesis of contractile proteins in the myocardium), with glutamic acid and Asparkam (increased resistance to hypoxia).
Zinocobalamin. Aminoglycosides, salicylates. antiepileptic drugs, colchicine, potassium drugs reduce absorption.
Can not be combined with drugs that increase blood clotting. Taking B12 may mask the lack of folic acid.
Overdosage
Vitamins B1, ATb and B12 have a wide therapeutic range.
Vitamin B1: Overdose symptoms after oral administration have not been registered.
Vitamin B6: In case of overdose: neuropathy with ataxia, a violation of sensitivity. cerebral seizures with changes on the ECG, as well as in some cases, hypochromic anemia and seborrheic dermatitis (were described after ingestion of more than 2 g per day).
Vitamin B12: After parenteral administration of a high dose (as well as in rare cases after ingestion), allergic reactions, eczematous skin disorders and a benign form of acne were observed.
