Provagus contains a lyophilized suspension of live lactic acid bacteria that have a positive effect on the microflora of the urogenital system of women, due to their strong probiotic properties.

The physiological bacterial flora of the vagina is represented mainly by lactic acid bacteria (the genus Lactobacillus). These bacteria produce hydrogen peroxide, which has antibacterial properties, and lactic acid, which is responsible for maintaining an appropriate pH level. Typically, vaginal secretions have an acidic environment, so it prevents the growth of pathogenic microorganisms that contribute to the development of urogenital infections. Reducing the number of lactic acid bacteria causes the risk of vaginal infections.

The microbiological balance in the vagina can be disrupted by treatment with antibiotics, taking contraceptives, during menstruation, during pregnancy, menopause, streets, often visiting pools and performing hygienic procedures, such as frequent washing of the vagina and using tampons. Application of Provag will allow to restore the physiological bacterial microflora of the vagina, to maintain an appropriate level of pH in the vagina and thereby prevent the growth of pathogenic microorganisms.

Dosage and administration
