Indications for use

• Treatment and prevention of diarrhea of ​​various etiologies in adults and children from 1 year with:

Clinical Pharmacology

Saccharomyces boulardii is a probiotic.

According to the WHO definition, these are live microorganisms, applied in adequate quantities, which have a healing effect on the human body.

Saccharomyces boulardii has an antimicrobial effect, due to the antagonistic effect against pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms:

• Clostridium difficile.
• Candida albicans.
• Candida kruesei.
• Candida pseudotropicalis.
• Klebsiella pneumoniae.
• Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
• Salmonella typhimurium.
• Yersinia enterocolitica.
• Escherichia coli.
• Shigella dysenteriae.
• Staphylococcus aureus.
• Entamoeba histolitica and Lambliae.

Saccharomyces boulardii has an anti-toxin action against bacterial cyto- and enterotoxins, increases the enzymatic function of the intestine.

The cell wall component of Saccharomyces boulardii mannitol is a substrate for the pathogenic strains of Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhimurium, which causes their adhesion (attachment) to the surface of Saccharomyces boulardii and subsequent excretion from the body.

Saccharomyces boulardii is naturally resistant to antibiotics.

Saccharomyces boulardii is not eubiotic, that is, it is not part of the microflora of a healthy human body, respectively, after taking the drug Saccharomyces boulardii passes through the digestive tract unchanged without colonization and is completely eliminated from the body within 2 to 5 days after stopping the administration.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Enterol use during pregnancy or lactation is justified if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug.

Interaction

Enterol is not taken in conjunction with antifungal drugs.

Dosage and administration

On 2 - 8 bags a day in 1 hour prior to food. The contents of the bag mixed with water or another drink.

Precautionary measures

Do not drink hot and alcoholic beverages.
