Mechanism of action

Combined product containing a complex of Vitamins and minerals, which are important factors of metabolic processes.

Retinol (Vitamin A) participates in the synthesis of various substances (proteins, lipids, mucopolysaccharides) and ensures the normal function of the skin, mucous membranes, and the organ of vision.

Colecalciferol (Vitamin D₃) supports the balance of Calcium and phosphorus in the body.

Thiamine (Vitamin B₁) normalizes the activity of the heart, contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

Riboflavin (Vitamin B₂) promotes tissue regeneration, incl. skin cells.

D-panthenol (vitamin B₅) It is part of coenzyme A, which plays an important role in the processes of acetylation and oxidation. It activates metabolic processes in tissues.

Pyridoxine (vitamin b₆) helps to maintain the structure and function of bones, teeth, gums; has an effect on erythropoiesis, contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B₁₂) participates in erythropoiesis, contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

B vitamins are involved in the formation of various enzymes that regulate the body's metabolism.

Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) participates in the oxidation of a number of biologically active substances, regulation of metabolism in the connective tissue, carbohydrate metabolism, blood clotting and tissue regeneration, stimulates the formation of steroid hormones, normalizes capillary permeability. Vitamin C increases the body's resistance to infections, reduces inflammatory reactions.

Folic acid (vitamin b_with) stimulates erythropoiesis.

Calcium participates in the formation of bone tissue, blood coagulation, transmission of nerve impulses, reduction of skeletal and smooth muscles.

Dosage and administration

The drug should be taken orally. pills hold in the mouth until dissolved.

Special notes

When applied Pikovita possible yellow staining of urine is completely harmless and is explained by the presence of riboflavin in the preparation.

Not recommended to take Pikovit^® in conjunction with other preparations containing vitamins and minerals.

High doses of glycerol can cause headache, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (diarrhea).

Pikovit^® contains azo dyes E124 and E110, which can cause hypersensitivity reactions with the asthmatic component. Such reactions are more common in patients with hypersensitivity to Acetylsalicylic acid.

The preparation contains 192 mg of lactose, 611 mg of sucrose, 160 mg of glucose and 134 mg of sorbitol, therefore the drug is not recommended for children with congenital intolerance to glucose and fructose, malabsorption syndromes of glucose / galactose and deficiency of sucrase / isomaltase.

Overdosage

No cases of drug overdose were noted. Risk of drug overdose Pikovit^® minimum.

Drug interaction

The presence of calcium in the preparation causes a delay in the absorption in the intestine of tetracyclines and fluoroquinolones. It should be observed between doses of drugs interval of at least 2 hours.

Vitamin C enhances the effect and side effects of sulfonamides (including crystalluria).

When applied simultaneously with Pikovitom diuretics from the thiazide group increases the likelihood of hypercalcemia.
