Mechanism of action

LIPOEIC ACID, a coenzyme involved in the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvic acid and alpha-keto acids, plays an important role in the energy balance of the body. By the nature of the biochemical action, Lipoic acid is similar to group B Vitamins. It participates in the regulation of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, has a lipotropic effect, affects cholesterol metabolism, improves liver function, has a detoxification effect in poisoning with heavy metal salts and other intoxications.

Indications and usage

Fatty degeneration of the liver, liver cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis, hepatitis A, intoxication (including heavy metal salts, pale toadstool), hyperlipidemia (including leading to the development of coronary atherosclerosis - treatment and prevention).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, child age (up to 6 years).C caution. Diabetes mellitus, hyperacid gastritis, peptic ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcers, a tendency to allergic reactions.

Dosage and administration

Adverse reactions
