Indications

- treatment of acute purulent processes (wounds) of the skin and soft tissues (boils, carbuncles, hydroadenitis, cellulitis, abscesses);

- additional treatment of purulent complications of postoperative wounds (after excision, coagulation, episiotomy, for the treatment of skin cracks, wounds and stitches);

- thermal lesions of the skin and soft tissues of I-III degrees, complicated by an infectious process;

- trophic ulcers, bedsores, complicated by an infectious process.

- - abrasions, cuts, scratches, cracks, scratching.

Dosage and administration

The ointment is applied with a thin layer of about 1.5-2 mm directly on the wound surface, after which a sterile gauze bandage is applied or the preparation is applied on the dressing material, and then on the wound. A layer of ointment should exceed the circumference of the wound size by not less than 5 mm. Tampons soaked in ointment, loosely fill the cavity of purulent wounds after their surgical treatment, and gauze turunda with the drug is injected into the fistulous passages. When the wound is localized at an uncomfortable place for bandaging, the use of a band-aid or adhesive bandage is permissible.

The dressing is changed 1-2 times a day.

The daily dose should not exceed 10 g. The duration of treatment is on average 5 to 15 days.

With minor skin lesions (abrasions, cuts, scratches, cracks, scratches), the preparation is applied with a thin layer on the affected surface 2 times a day.

Adverse effects

In rare cases, skin allergic reactions (itching, flushing of the skin) are possible, with the appearance of which you should stop using the drug.

Contraindications

- hypersensitivity to the drug;

- thyrotoxicosis;

- thyroid adenoma;

- severe renal failure;

- simultaneous therapy with radioactive Iodine;

- children under 18 years old;

- I trimester of pregnancy.

Carefully: chronic renal failure, II and III trimesters of pregnancy, lactation.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

It is forbidden to take the drug in the first trimester of pregnancy.

To take with caution in the II and III trimesters of pregnancy and lactation.

Application for violations of kidney function

It is forbidden to use in severe renal failure.

With care: chronic renal failure.

Use in children

Contraindicated in children under 18 years.

Special notes

Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with warm water.

Overdosage

Cases of overdose are not described. If you accidentally take the drug inside may cause nausea and vomiting. It is necessary to wash the stomach and consult a doctor, if necessary, carry out symptomatic treatment.

Drug interaction

Do not use the drug in combination with other antiseptic agents containing mercury, oxidizing agents, alkalis and cationic surfactants.Alkaline or acidic environment, the presence of fat, pus, blood weaken antiseptic activity.
