Mechanism of action

Antiprotozoal drug. The mechanism of action of Dazolic is associated with the disruption of the DNA structure of susceptible microorganisms. It is active against Trichomonas vaginalis, Giardia lamblia, Entamoeba histolytica, as well as against some anaerobic bacteria (including Bacteroides spp., Clostridium spp., Fusobacterium spp. Spp., Fusobacterium spp. Spp., Fst, and Fusobacterium spp. Spp. Spp. ).

Indications and usage

- trichomoniasis;

- amebiasis, amoebic dysentery, extraintestinal amebiasis (including amebic liver abscess);

- giardiasis;

Contraindications

Special notes

When drinking alcohol during the use of Dazolic, disulfiram-like reactions are not observed (ornidazole does not inhibit acetaldehyderogenase).
