Composition

Syrup for children:
1 ml contains Ascorbic acid 12 mg, bendazole 1.25 mg, sodium timogen 150 mcg;
Excipients: sucrose, purified water;
50 ml in a bottle of dark glass complete with a dosing spoon.

Mechanism of action

Cytovir is a complex immunomodulatory drug intended for the prevention and early pathogenetic treatment of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI). It has antiviral, immunomodulatory effects.

Part of the drug bendazole induces endogenous Interferon production in the body. Interferon-induced enzymes in cells of various organs inhibit viral replication. In addition, by activating immunocompetent cells, the drug helps to normalize the immune status.
Thymogen sodium acts on the T-cell immunity.
Vitamin C activates the humoral immunity, normalizes capillary permeability, thereby suppressing the inflammatory process.

Indications and usage

Prevention and symptomatic treatment of the early stages of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug; pregnancy and lactation;
diabetes.

Dosage and administration

Tsitovir-3 is taken orally, orally for 30 minutes before meals, 3 times a day for 4 days. Regimens for prophylaxis and treatment are identical.
Children aged 1 to 3 years should be given 2 ml of syrup; children aged 3 to 6 years old - 4 ml of syrup, children 6-10 years old - 8 ml each, children over 10 years old - 12 ml 3 times a day for 4 days.

WITH prophylactic repeated treatment can be carried out in 3-4 weeks.

Adverse reactions

Cardiovascular: short-term reduction in blood pressure in patients suffering from vegetative-vascular dystonia.
