Sodium Hyaluronate
Active ingredient: sodium hyaluronate 1.8 mg / ml
Excipients: sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium dihydrophosphate, Calcium chloride, Magnesium chloride, sodium citrate, water for injection.
Sodium hyaluronate is a natural polymer that is present in the tissues of the human eye. VISMED effect®(WIZMED®) is associated with the property of viscoelasticity and the ability of sodium hyaluronate to bind and hold water.
VISMED® (WIZMED®) is characterized by high viscosity in the absence of blink movements and low viscosity at the moment of blinking, which ensures its effective distribution over the surface of the eye, preventing "dryness" and irritation of the eye.
Sodium hyaluronate has an affinity for tear mucoglycoprotein, which contributes to an increase in the stability of the tear film.
VISMED® (WIZMED®), as well as the lacrimal fluid, contains calcium, magnesium and potassium ions necessary to maintain the normal structure and function of the cornea of the eye. Inclusion in VISMED® (WIZMED®) sodium citrate helps to maintain the viscoelastic properties of the product in the presence of other ions and to avoid their precipitation.
The leading mechanism in the development of dry eye syndrome is hyperosmolar tears and instability of the tear film.VISMED® (WIZMED®) due to its hypotonicity, it is able to compensate for hyperosmolar tears
VISMED® (WIZMED®) promotes regeneration in superficial keratitis by increasing cell migration.
Thanks to a unique combination of components, VISMED® gel (WIZMED® gel) provides long-term protection of the cornea and alleviate the symptoms of "dry" eyes by restoring the normal properties of the tear film.
Ophthalmic VISMED solution® (WIZMED®) in single-dose tubes, droppers 0.3 ml is used to eliminate the sensation of "dryness" and eye irritation in the presence of manifestations of "dry eye" syndrome and / or damage to the anterior surface of the eye during superficial keratitis and Sjogren's syndrome and primary syndrome of "dry eye". To moisturize the surface of the eye when complaining of a feeling of "dry" eyes, a feeling of a foreign body in the eye, eye fatigue caused by wearing hard or soft contact lenses, prolonged computer work, being in an air-conditioned room, dust, exposure to dry air, wind or cold.
Hypersensitivity to one of the components of the ophthalmic solution.
In very rare cases, irritation of the conjunctiva, feeling of a “foreign body” in the eye, redness or burning of the eyes, short-term “blurring” of vision may occur.
It is not recommended to apply VISMED® (VIZMED®) at the same time with other ophthalmologic agents, as this may affect their effectiveness.
Open the container by twisting the cap off in a clockwise direction.
Tilt the head back, position the container dropper above the eye and index finger of one hand and pull the lower eyelid down. Gently press on the container and drop 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the eye, unless otherwise recommended.
When blinking, the liquid is evenly distributed over the surface of the eye.
VISMED® (WIZMED®) you can bury when wearing any type of contact lenses (hard or soft), without removing them during instillation.
