Composition and release form
Glurenorm - tablets:
1 pill contains glycvidone 30 mg; 60 pieces per pack.
pharmachologic effect
Hypoglycemic. Glurenorm stimulates insulin production by beta cells of the pancreas.
Indications
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (non-insulin-dependent) in middle-aged and elderly patients with the ineffectiveness of diet therapy.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity (including to sulfonylurea derivatives or sulfonamides), type 1 diabetes mellitus (insulin-dependent), diabetic acidosis, ketoacidosis, precoma, coma, pregnancy, breast-feeding.
Side effects
Rarely - hypoglycemic reactions, skin allergic reactions, changes in blood counts, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract.
Dosage and administration
Inside, during a meal, at the beginning of a meal. The initial dose of Glurenorm is usually 15 mg (1/2 table) during breakfast, then it is gradually increased. The daily dose, not exceeding 60 mg, can be administered at one time during breakfast, but the best effect is achieved when prescribing the drug 2-3 times a day. Increasing the dose of Glurenorma more than 120 mg (Table 4) usually does not lead to a further enhancement of the effect.
special instructions
Glurenorm should not replace a therapeutic diet that allows you to control the patient’s body weight and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disorders.

The drug should be stored out of reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.Shelf life - 5 years.
