Hypersensitivity to the biologically active components of Hypericum.
With systemic use, St. John's wort can cause photosensitivity.
It should not be used in mixture with oils and used after treating the wound surface with solutions of Iodine, Potassium permanganate, hydrogen peroxide, which cause inactivation of the biologically active components of the herb St. John's wort.
