Composition

Askoril Exhibitor syrup:
10 ml of syrup contain Salbutamol (in the form of sulfate) 2 mg, Bromhexine hydrochloride 4 mg, guaifenesin 100 mg, menthol 1 mg;
Excipients: flavoring additives, sucrose, sodium benzoate, sorbitol, glycerol, propylene glycol, dye sunset yellow, purified water.
in a bottle of 100 and 200 ml.

Mechanism of action

Askoril Exhibitor - combined drug with bronchodilator and expectorant action.

Salbutamol - selective β2-adrenoreceptor agonist, has a bronchodilator effect, suppresses bronchospasm.
Bromhexine has a mucolytic effect. Reduces the viscosity of bronchial secretions due to the depolarization of acidic polysaccharides and stimulation of secretory cells of the mucous membranes of the bronchi.
Gvayfenezin reduces the surface tension and adhesive properties of sputum, promotes its expectoration.
Menthol It has an antispasmodic effect, gently stimulates the secretion of bronchial glands, has antiseptic properties and restores the function of the ciliated epithelium of the bronchial mucosa.

Indications and usage

Bronchial asthma; acute and chronic bronchitis; bronchiectasis; atelectasis; emphysema; pneumonia; whooping cough; pulmonary tuberculosis; other bronchospastic conditions.

Contraindications

Tachycardia; heart rhythm disturbances; hypersensitivity to the drug.

Dosage and administration

Adults appoint 10 ml (2 teaspoons) 3 times / day.
Children under 6 years old - 5 ml (1 teaspoon) 3 times / day, from 6 to 12 years - 5-10 ml (1-2 teaspoons) 3 times / day.
If necessary, may increase the dose.

Adverse reactions

Rarely: hand tremor, tachycardia, muscle cramps. When used in high doses - tachycardia, headache, peripheral vasodilation.

Special notes

With caution, the drug is prescribed to patients with hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus, severe diseases of the cardiovascular system, arterial hypertension, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer.

Do not use Ascoril Expectorant in combination with beta-blockers.
