Release form, composition and packaging

Film Coated Tablets light brown, round, biconvex.

Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, talc, Magnesium stearate.

The composition of the film shell: Opadry II brown (hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 3000, triacetin, iron dye yellow oxide (E172), iron dye red oxide (E172), iron dye black oxide (E172)).

Indications

- nicotine addiction (to facilitate smoking cessation).

Dosage and administration

The drug is prescribed for 3 days on 1 tab. 6 times / day (after 2 hours) with a parallel reduction in the number of cigarettes smoked. If there is no effect, the drug should be canceled and after 2-3 months, start a new course.

With a positive result, treatment is continued as follows:

Smoking should be stopped no later than 5 days from the start of treatment.

Adverse effects

Gastrointestinal: changes in taste and appetite, dry mouth, abdominal pain, nausea, constipation, diarrhea.

From the side of the central nervous system: headache, dizziness, insomnia, drowsiness, irritability.

Cardiovascular: feeling of heartbeat, a slight increase in blood pressure, tachycardia, chest pain, shortness of breath.

Other: myalgia, weight loss, increased sweating, allergic reactions.

Most side effects are their own.

Contraindications

- acute myocardial infarction;

- unstable angina;

- arrhythmias;

- recently transferred disturbance of cerebral blood circulation;

- pronounced atherosclerosis;

- bleeding from large vessels;

- arterial hypertension;

- pulmonary edema;

- peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum (acute phase);

- bronchial asthma;

- pregnancy;

- lactation (breastfeeding);

- Hypersensitivity to the drug.

WITH caution they prescribe a drug for schizophrenia, adrenal chromaphin tumors, gastroesophageal reflux, IHD (including chronic heart failure), cerebral vascular diseases, hyperthyroidism, peptic ulcer of the stomach, diabetes mellitus, renal and hepatic insufficiency. In children under the age of 18 and in patients over 65, the drug should be used after a careful assessment of the ratio of the intended benefits and potential risks.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

It is not recommended to prescribe Tabex during pregnancy due to the potential risk of embryotoxic action during uncontrolled intake.

It is not recommended to take the drug during lactation (breastfeeding).

Application for violations of the liver

Application for violations of kidney function

Use in children

Special notes

The drug should be used only if the patient has a serious and conscious intention to quit smoking.

The patient should be warned that the use of the drug against the background of continued smoking can lead to nicotine intoxication.

Influence on ability to drive motor transport and control mechanisms

The drug intake does not cause changes in the patient's psychophysical state, does not violate the ability to drive vehicles and work with mechanisms.

Overdosage

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, dilated pupils, general weakness, tachycardia, convulsions, respiratory paralysis.

Treatment: gastric lavage, control of heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory function; if necessary, the introduction of infusion solutions, anticonvulsants, cardiotonic, analeptic and other symptomatic agents.

Drug interaction

The drug should not be used simultaneously with anti-TB drugs.
