Active substance

Moxonidine

Composition

Tablets, film-coated brownish-pink, round, biconvex, engraved with "0.4" on one side; on a break - white.

1 tab. Moxonidine 0.4 mg

Excipients: lactose monohydrate - 95.6 mg, povidone - 0.7 mg, crospovidone - 3 mg, Magnesium stearate - 0.3 mg.

The composition of the shell: hypromellose - 1.3 mg, ethylcellulose - 1.2 mg, macrogol - 0.25 mg, talc - 0.875 mg, iron dye red oxide (E172) - 0.125 mg, titanium dioxide (E171) - 1.25 mg.

Mechanism of action

Indications

Arterial hypertension.

Contraindications

• sensitivity and allergy to the components in the composition of the product;
• heart failure andbradycardia;
• children (under 18);
• liver and kidney disease;
• sick sinus syndrome.

Side effects

Possible:

• dry mucous membranes;
• bradycardia and weakness;
• decrease in blood pressure;
• nausea;
• skin allergy.

After the first 14 days of taking the drug, the intensity and frequency of symptoms decreases.

Interaction

Not recommended combination with tricyclic antidepressantsby othersantihypertensive by means oftranquilizers, ethanol (alcohol)sleeping pillsandsedativesby means ofbenzodiazepine.

How to take, the course of administration and dosage

According to the instructions for use Physiotens pills are taken regardless of the food.

The daily dose of the drug is from 0.2 mg to 0.6 mg, taken as 2 times. The maximum amount of Physiotens taken at a time is 0.4 mg.

With kidney disease, a single maximum dose of the drug is 0.2 mg, and 0.4 mg per day.

Special notes

Effect on speedpsychomotor reactions not fully explored. It is recommended to refrain from driving vehicles and other activities requiring a high degree of concentration.
