Indications and usage

- gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori;
- chronic gastroduodenitis associated with Helicobacter pylori, in the acute phase.

Contraindications

- pronounced impaired renal function;
- pregnancy;
- lactation period (breastfeeding);
- Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Dosage and administration

Tablets De-Nol prescribed 120 mg 4 times / day for 30 minutes before breakfast, lunch and dinner and before going to bed or 240 mg 2 times / day for 30 minutes before or 2 hours after a meal.
pills should be taken orally, do not chew, drink 1-2 sips of water.
Duration of treatment is 4-8 weeks. After that, you should take a break for 8 weeks, during which it is not recommended to take other drugs containing bismuth.
For the eradication of Helicobacter pylori, it is advisable to use De-Nol in combination with antibacterial drugs.

Adverse reactions

Gastrointestinal: nausea, vomiting, increased stools, constipation.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

De-Nol is contraindicated for use during pregnancy and lactation.

Special notes

The drug should not be used for more than 8 weeks.
During the period of treatment De-Nol should not use other drugs containing bismuth.
During the period of treatment should not consume milk, carbonated and alcoholic beverages.
When using De-Nol, fecal staining in black is possible, as well as a slight darkening of the tongue.

Overdosage

Symptoms of acute bismuth poisoning: dyspepsia, rash, inflammation of the oral mucosa, characteristic darkening in the form of blue lines on the gums. With frequent excess of therapeutic doses of the drug may be a reversible violation of renal function.
Treatment: gastric lavage, the appointment of Activated carbon and saline laxatives. Control of kidney function, bismuth concentration in blood and urine is shown. In the future, conduct symptomatic therapy. In cases of impaired renal function, accompanied by a high level of bismuth in the blood plasma, complexing agents can be introduced - dimercaptosuntrate and dimercaptopropanesulfonic acid. In severe renal failure, hemodialysis is indicated.

Drug Interactions

With the simultaneous use of De-Nol reduces the absorption of antibiotics of the Tetracycline group.
With the simultaneous use of De-Nol with antacids and drugs that reduce gastric secretion, decreases the effectiveness of De-Nol.
