Active ingredient and dosage form

Teraligen film-coated tablets:
1 tab. contains alimemazina tartrate 5 mg;
Excipients: milk sugar (lactose); colloidal silicon dioxide; refined sugar (sucrose); wheat starch; tapioca (tapioca starch); talc; Magnesium stearate;
shell: hypromellose; macrogol 6000; titanium dioxide; the dye Osprey R110 pink; talc;
in packing of 25 and 50 pieces.

Mechanism of action

Teraligen has antipsychotic, antihistamine, antispasmodic, hypnotic, antiemetic, antitussive action.

Indications and usage

neuroses and neurosis-like states of endogenous and organic genesis with a predominance of senesthopathic, hypochondriac, phobic and psycho-vegetative disorders;
psychopathies with asthenic and psychoasthenic disorders;
anxiety-depressive conditions in the framework of borderline and vascular diseases;
senesthopathic depression;
somatized mental disorders;
states of excitement and anxiety in somatic diseases;
sleep disorders of various origins;
allergic reactions (symptomatic treatment).

Contraindications

hypersensitivity;
angle-closure glaucoma;
prostatic hyperplasia;
severe liver and kidney disease;
parkinsonism;
myasthenia gravis;
Reye's syndrome;
simultaneous use of MAO inhibitors;
pregnancy;
breastfeeding period;
children's age up to 7 years.
Carefully:
chronic alcoholism, if in the history there are indications of complications in the use of drugs of the phenothiazine series;
bladder neck obstruction;
predisposition to urinary retention;
epilepsy;
open-angle glaucoma;
jaundice;
bone marrow suppression;
arterial hypotension.

Dosage and administration

Teraligen taken inside. The daily dose is divided into 3-4 doses.
Adults - 5–10 mg / day (soporific effect); 60–80 mg / day (anxiolytic effect). In psychotic conditions - 0.2–0.4 g / day.
Children from 7 years old are prescribed according to the following scheme (depending on age and body weight): 2.5–5 mg / day (soporific effect); 5–20 mg / day (as a symptomatic treatment of allergic reactions); 20–40 mg / day (anxiolytic action). In psychotic states, it is possible to increase the daily dose to 60 mg / day.

Adverse reactions

Teraligen is usually well tolerated. The side effects are extremely rare and not significant.
The nervous system: drowsiness, lethargy, fatigue, occurring mainly in the first days of administration and rarely require discontinuation of the drug; paradoxical reaction (anxiety, agitation, “nightmarish” dreams, irritability); rarely - confusion, extrapyramidal disorders (hypokinesia, akathisia, tremor); increased sleep apnea, increased convulsive activity (in children).
From the senses: blurred vision (accommodation paresis), noise or tinnitus.
Cardiovascular: dizziness, decrease in blood pressure, tachycardia.
From the digestive system: dry mouth, atony of gastrointestinal tract, constipation, loss of appetite.
On the part of the respiratory system: dry nose, pharynx, increased viscosity of bronchial secretions.
On the part of the urinary system: Atony of the bladder, urinary retention.
Other: allergic reactions, inhibition of bone marrow hematopoiesis, increased sweating, muscle relaxation, photosensitization.

Special notes

With long-term treatment with Teralidjen, it is necessary to systematically carry out a complete blood count, evaluate liver function.
It may mask the ototoxic effect (tinnitus and dizziness) of commonly used drugs.
Increases the need for riboflavin.
