Active ingredients
Dry standardized extract of leaves of Ginkgo Biloba (EGb 761) (35-67: 1, extractant - acetone 60%) 40 mg, including:
Ginkgoflavong glycosides 9.6 mg.
Terpenactones 2.4 mg.

Excipients: Sodium croscarmellose, defoaming emulsion SE2, colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, macrogol 1500, Magnesium stearate, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), ferric oxide (E172).

Mechanism of action

Metoplant is a phytopreparation whose active ingredient is ginkgo biloba leaf extract.

Increases the body's resistance to hypoxia, especially brain tissue. It inhibits the development of traumatic or toxic brain edema. It improves cerebral and peripheral circulation, improves blood rheology.

- Organic (arising from age-related circulatory disorders) and functional disorders of the brain with such manifestations as memory impairment, decreased ability to concentrate and intellectual abilities, dizziness, depressed mood, tinnitus, headache.
- Violations of the peripheral blood circulation (obliterating diseases of the arteries of the lower extremities with such characteristic symptoms as intermittent claudication, numbness and cold feet, Raynaud's disease).
- Impaired function of the inner ear, manifested by dizziness, unstable gait and tinnitus.

Contraindications

- Reduced blood clotting.
- Erosive gastritis.
- Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase.
- Acute disorders of cerebral circulation.
- Acute myocardial infarction.
- Children's age up to 12 years (application data is not enough).
- Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Due to the lack of data it is not recommended to use the drug Memoplant during pregnancy and lactation.

Dosage and administration

For symptomatic treatment of cerebral circulatory disorders Assign 1-2 tab. 3 times / day The course of treatment is at least 8 weeks.

For violations of the peripheral circulation Assign 1 tab. 3 times / day or 2 tab. 2 times / day. The course of treatment is at least 6 weeks.

With vascular or involutional pathology of the inner ear Assign 1 tab. 3 times / day or 2 tab. 2 times / day. The course of treatment is 6-8 weeks.

Tablets should be taken without chewing, with a small amount of water. The drug is taken regardless of the meal.

In case of skipping the drug intake or if insufficient amount was taken, the subsequent intake should be carried out as indicated in the dosing regimen, without any changes.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions: Redness, skin rash, swelling of the skin, itching.

From the side of the central nervous system: Headache, dizziness, hearing loss.

From the blood coagulation system: Perhaps a decrease in blood clotting; in isolated cases - bleeding observed in patients who simultaneously took means to lower blood clotting (the connection of these bleeding with the use of drugs containing ginkgo biloba, has not been confirmed).

Other: dyspepsia is possible.

Special notes

The patient should be informed that with frequent sensations of dizziness and tinnitus, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

In the case of side effects, the use of the drug should be discontinued.

The composition of the pills includes lactose, so the drug is not recommended for patients with congenital galactosemia, malabsorption syndrome of glucose or galactose, or with congenital lactase deficiency.

- Use in pediatrics In the absence of sufficient data, the drug should not be prescribed to children under the age of 12 years.

With simultaneous use of a MemoPlant with anticoagulants, it is possible to enhance the effect of the latter. It is not recommended the appointment of the drug Memoplant to patients who are constantly taking Acetylsalicylic acid, anticoagulants (direct and indirect action), as well as drugs that reduce blood clotting.
