Mechanism of action

- antispasmodic from the group of purines, has a vasodilating effect, improves microcirculation and rheological properties of blood, increases the concentration of oxygen in the tissues. Enhances the action of antihypertensives and hypoglycemic agents.

Indications and usage

Peripheral blood circulation disorders (endarteritis, Raynaud's disease, etc.); cerebrovascular pathologies (atherosclerotic disorders, ischemic and post-infarction conditions, etc.); vascular pathology of the eyes and inner ear; diabetic nephroangiopathy and other diabetic angiopathies; trophic changes associated with damage to the arteries or veins and impaired microcirculation (postthrombophlebitic syndrome, trophic ulcers, gangrene, frostbite).

Dosage and administration

Pentoxifylline administered intravenously, intraarterially, and inside.

Contraindications

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
