Active ingredient and dosage form

Cofetamine - coated tablets:

1 tab. contains caffeine 100 mg, ergotamine tartrate 1 mg; in packing of 10 and 20 pieces.

Mechanism of action

Cofetamine has an anti-migraine effect.

Indications and usage

Vasoparalitic migraine;

hypotension;

as a means of lowering the intracranial pressure in vascular, traumatic and infectious lesions of the central nervous system.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to components of Cofetamine;

decompensated diseases of the cardiovascular system, severe hypertension or atherosclerosis;

pregnancy;

lactation period.

With caution (relative contraindications):

sleep disturbance;

hyperexcitability;

anxiety disorders (agoraphobia, panic disorders);

organic diseases of the cardiovascular system (myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, atherosclerosis, paroxysmal tachycardia, ventricular extrasystole, arterial hypertension, peripheral vascular obliterans);

hepatic and / or renal failure;

glaucoma (increased intraocular pressure);

elderly age.

Adverse reactions

On the part of the nervous system: agitation, anxiety, tremor, anxiety, headache, dizziness, convulsions, paresthesia in the extremities, increased reflexes, tachypnea, insomnia; with a sudden cancellation - inhibition of the central nervous system, fatigue, drowsiness.

Dosage and administration

Cofetamine is taken orally by 1-2 tablets. during a headache attack 2 times a day, then 1 tab. 2-3 times a day for several days (up to 1 month). The maximum single dose - 2 tab., Daily - 4 tab.

It is not recommended to use Cofetamine for a long time (in order to avoid the phenomena of ergotism): after 7 days of use in cases requiring a longer treatment, they take a break (for 3-4 days).
