Active ingredient

Macmiror complex vaginal suppositories soft gelatinous, egg-shaped, yellow in color with a brown tint; the contents of the suppository is a yellow suspension.

Mechanism of action

Macmiror complex is a combined preparation for topical use in gynecology, consisting of a nitrofuran derivative (nifuratel) and a polyene (nystatin) antibiotic.
Active against Trichomonas vaginalis and mushroom kind Candida, protozoa, gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms.
It does not affect the physiological flora, which allows to avoid the development of dysbacteriosis and quickly restore the vaginal normocenosis. The use of the drug helps prevent relapses that may occur after the apparent cure of primary infections.

Indications and usage

Vulvovaginal infections caused by susceptible pathogens (Candida, Trichomonas, bacteria, chlamydia); pyelonephritis, urethritis, cystitis,pyelitis and other diseases of the urinary system; intestinal amebiasis and giardiasis; chronic inflammatory diseases of the upper GI tract associated with Helicobacter pylori.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Dosage and administration

Suppositories cream are administered intravaginally, at bedtime - for 8 days, 1 candle or 2-3 g of cream; children - 1-2 g of cream.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

In pregnancy, the drug is prescribed only under strict indications, if the expected effect of therapy outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.
