Active ingredient

Macmiror complex vaginal suppositories soft gelatinous, egg-shaped, yellow in color with a brown tint; the contents of the suppository is a yellow suspension.
1 suppository contains nifuratel 500 mg, Nystatin 200 thousand units;
in a blister of 8 or 12 pcs.; in the box 1 blister.

Macmiror complex vaginal cream liquid, homogeneous, yellow.
1 g of cream contains nifuratel 100 mg, nystatin 40 thousand units;
in tubes of 30 g complete with an applicator; in the box 1 set.

Mechanism of action

Macmiror complex is a combined preparation for topical use in gynecology, consisting of a nitrofuran derivative (nifuratel) and a polyene (nystatin) antibiotic.
Active against Trichomonas vaginalis and mushroom kind Candida, protozoa, gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms.
It does not affect the physiological flora, which allows to avoid the development of dysbacteriosis and quickly restore the vaginal normocenosis. The use of the drug helps prevent relapses that may occur after the apparent cure of primary infections.

Indications and usage

Vulvovaginal infections caused by susceptible pathogens (Candida, Trichomonas, bacteria, chlamydia); pyelonephritis, urethritis, cystitis,pyelitis and other diseases of the urinary system; intestinal amebiasis and giardiasis; chronic inflammatory diseases of the upper GI tract associated with Helicobacter pylori.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Dosage and administration

Suppositories cream are administered intravaginally, at bedtime - for 8 days, 1 candle or 2-3 g of cream; children - 1-2 g of cream.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

In pregnancy, the drug is prescribed only under strict indications, if the expected effect of therapy outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.

With monotherapy for vaginal infections, it is recommended to increase the daily dosage of the drug to 4-6 tablets. During the period of treatment should refrain from sexual intercourse.
To achieve the maximum therapeutic effect, a suppository should be inserted into the upper part of the vagina.
It is necessary to conduct simultaneous treatment of the sexual partner because of the danger of re-infection.
