Indications and usage

nmeans for the prevention of dental caries in children aged 2 to 14 years in areas where the fluoride content in drinking water does not exceed 0.5 mg / l.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, hypothyroidism, peptic ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcers (in acute stage), hepatic and / or renal failure, pregnancy, lactation period, children (up to 6 months, 3 years, 6 or 16 years - depending on the dosage form and doses). Living in an area with a sufficient content of water fluoridation (above 0.8 mg / l).

Adverse reactions

Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fatigue, headache, diarrhea, arthralgia (especially in the ankle, knee and hip joints - up to a temporary inability to move); osteosclerosis, ossification of the sites of attachment of tendons and ligaments, hypothyroidism (with prolonged use), allergic reactions, rhinitis,eosinophilia, skin rash, fluorosis (a violation of the process of formation and calcification of enamel, the appearance of yellow, brown spots, fickering, increased fragility and abrasion of teeth).

Dosage and administration

Sodium fluoride pill is kept in the mouth until completely dissolved (before going to bed after brushing your teeth). Children from 2 to 5 years old - at 1.1 mg / day, older than 5 years - at 2.2 mg / day. Sodium fluoride is effective with regular and long-term use. The course of treatment is at least 250 days a year, annually up to 15 years.
