Mechanism of action

Azoximer bromide has a complex action: immunomodulatory, detoxifying, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory.

Azoximera bromide increases the body's resistance to local and generalized infections. The basis of the mechanism of immunomodulating action of azoxymere bromide is a direct effect on phagocytic cells and natural killers, as well as the stimulation of antibody production. Azoximer bromide is able to stimulate the synthesis of Interferon alfa and interferon gamma, which determines its antiviral efficacy and the possibility of administration for the prevention and treatment of influenza and ARVI.

Detoxification and antioxidant properties of azoxymere bromide are determined by the structure and high molecular nature of the drug and are not associated with activation of immune mechanisms. Azoxymere bromide blocks soluble toxic substances and microparticles, has the ability to excrete toxins, heavy metal salts from the body, inhibits lipid peroxidation.The combination of antioxidant, antiradical, membrane stabilizing and chelating properties makes azoxymere bromide a powerful anti-inflammatory agent.

Indications

- With chronic recurrent infectious and inflammatory diseases that are not amenable to standard therapy, both in the acute stage and in remission;

- in inflammatory diseases of the urogenital tract, incl. urethritis, cystitis, pyelonephritis, prostatitis, salpingoophoritis, endomyometritis, colpitis, cervicitis, cervicosis, bacterial vaginosis, including viral etiology;

- with various forms of tuberculosis;

- in case of allergic diseases complicated by recurrent bacterial, fungal and viral infections (including pollinosis, bronchial asthma, atopic dermatitis);

- in case of autoimmune diseases (including rheumatoid arthritis, chronic autoimmune thyroiditis), complicated by infectious syndrome against the background of long-term immunosuppressants;

- in case of complicated ARD or ORVI disease progression;

Dosage and administration

The drug is intended for rectal and intravaginal administration of 1 suppository for 1 time / day.The method and dosage regimen is determined by the doctor depending on the diagnosis, the severity and severity of the process. The drug can be used daily, every other day or 2 times a week.

Suppositories 12 mg apply atadults rectally and intravaginally.

Suppositories 6 mg apply atchildren over 6 years old only rectally; atadults - rectally and intravaginally.

Standard application

Side effect

Contraindications
