Indications

- treatment of symptoms of cerebrovascular origin (dizziness, tinnitus, vascular headache, irritability);

- vestibular disorders (including Meniere's disease, dizziness, tinnitus, nystagmus, nausea and vomiting of labyrinth origin);

- prevention of kinetozov ("road sickness" - sea and air sickness);

- migraine (prevention of seizures);

- impaired peripheral circulation (intermittent claudication, Raynaud’s disease, diabetic angiopathy, thrombophlebitis, trophic disorders, including trophic and varicose ulcers).

Dosage and administration

Inside, after eating.

At circulatory disorders of the brain - 25-50 mg (1-2 tab.) 3 times / day; at peripheral circulatory disorders - 50-75 mg (2-3 tab.) 3 times / day; at vestibular disorders - 25 mg (1 tab.) 3 times / day; at kinetosis (road sickness): for adults - 25 mg 30 minutes before the road (if necessary, re-taking 25 mg after 6 h), for children - 1/2 dose recommended for adults.

In case of hypersensitivity to the drug, treatment begins with 1/2 the dose, increasing it gradually. The course of treatment from several weeks to several months.

Adverse effects

From the side of the central nervous system: drowsiness, fatigue, headache, extrapyramidal disorders (tremor of the extremities and increased muscle tone, hypokinesia in elderly patients with prolonged treatment, in such cases, treatment should be stopped), depression.

Gastrointestinal: dry mouth, pain in the epigastric region, dyspepsia, cholestatic jaundice.

Dermatologic: sweating, development of lupus-like syndrome, lichen planus (extremely rare), skin rash.

Other: allergic reactions, weight gain.

Contraindications

Patients suffering from Parkinson's disease, Stugeron should be prescribed only in cases where the intended benefit outweighs the potential risk of deterioration.

Overdosage

The maximum recommended dose should not exceed 225 mg (9 tab.) Per day. There is no specific antidote. In case of overdose, symptomatic therapy is carried out: gastric lavage, taking activated charcoal.

Drug interaction

Strengthens the effect of alcohol and sedatives.

With simultaneous use with nootropic, antihypertensive and vasodilating agents enhances their effect, and with simultaneous use with drugs prescribed for arterial hypotension, it reduces their effect.
