Pharmacology

Skin cap - dermato-protective agent. Zinc pyrithione activated has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal activity. Antifungal activity is especially pronounced with the action on Pityrosporum ovale and Pityrosporam orbiculare, causing inflammation and excessive desquamation in dandruff, seborrhea, psoriasis and other skin diseases. Antibacterial activity of zinc pyrithione manifests itself against a number of pathogenic microorganisms (streptococcus, staphylococcus, pseudomonas and intestinal bacilli, proteus, etc.) Zinc pyrithione reduces the intracellular level of ATP, promotes depolarization of cell membranes, causing the death of fungi and bacteria. The mechanism of anti-inflammatory action has not been studied.

Indications

Psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (eczema, neurodermatitis), seborrheic dermatitis in adults and children from 1 year.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Pregnanacy and breastfeeding

In pregnancy and lactation, the drug should be prescribed only in cases where the expected benefit of therapy for the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant. No adverse effects were reported on the use of zinc pyrithione preparations in pregnant women and women during breastfeeding.

Dosage and administration
