Composition

100 g of gel for external use contains:

- Benzoyl peroxide water (in terms of benzoyl peroxide anhydrous) 5 g

- Excipients Methacrylic acid copolymer, poloxamer 182, carbomer 940, glycerol, disodium edetate, sodium dusate, propylene glycol, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium hydroxide, purified water.

Mechanism of action

Basiron AC AS - the drug shows antimicrobial activity against Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis.

It has a keratolytic effect, improves the oxygenation of tissues, suppresses sebum production in the sebaceous glands.

Indications and usage

- Acne.

Contraindications

- Hypersensitivity to one of the incoming ingredients of the drug
- Children's age up to 12 years.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Controlled clinical trials of the drug during pregnancy and lactation was not carried out. For a long time of clinical use of Basiron AC AS, there were no cases of toxic effects on the fetus or malformations.

The use of gel Basiron AC AU during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible in cases where the intended benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.

Dosage and administration

Outwardly.

With a light touch, apply the gel evenly on the affected surface 1 or 2 times a day (morning and evening) on ​​clean, dry skin.

The therapeutic effect develops after 4 weeks of treatment, a lasting improvement after 3 months of treatment.

Repeated treatment is possible after consultation with the doctor.

Adverse reactions

- In rare cases, local irritation (redness, peeling, dry skin, burning sensation). In such cases, it is recommended to reduce the frequency of use. Allergic contact dermatitis.

Special notes

Avoid getting the gel on the mucous membranes of the eyes, mouth and nose. In case of accidental contact with the drug on the mucous membranes, rinse thoroughly with warm water.

The simultaneous use of products with a peeling, drying or irritating effect (for example, those containing alcohol) is not recommended.

Solar and ultraviolet radiation, which are an additional cause of skin irritation, are not recommended.

Overdosage

- Symptoms: if a large amount of the drug is accidentally applied to the skin, severe irritation may occur at the site of application.
- Treatment: the drug should be discontinued and symptomatic therapy should be carried out.
