PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:

Bilobil Intense contains the standardized extract of Ginkgo Biloba leaves, the main components of which are flavone glycosides, terpene compounds (ginkgolides and bilobalides). It is these active substances of the extract that determine its specific pharmacological activity.
The drug improves cerebral blood circulation and the supply of brain tissue with oxygen and glucose, prevents platelet aggregation, inhibiting platelet activation factor, dilates blood vessels, improves blood circulation and, by regulating metabolism, protects cells and tissues from damage caused by oxygen deficiency. Prevents the development of traumatic and toxic brain edema, age-related decline of cholinergic receptors and α2-adrenoreceptors. Flavonoids have an antioxidant effect. Bilobalides and partially ginkgolides have a neuroprotective effect. The drug improves the rheological properties of blood, sensory and cognitive brain function, prevents the deterioration of mental activity.
Pharmacokinetic studies of the extract of the leaves of ginkgo biloba are difficult to implement due to its multi-component composition.A study with a C14-labeled ginkgo leaf extract in rats showed 60% absorption after oral administration. The first maximum absorption in the blood was observed after 1.5 h, the second - after 12 h, which indicates enterohepatic circulation. Biological T_½ is about 4.5 hours. INDICATIONS:

impaired cerebral circulation and brain function (dementia syndrome in primary degenerative dementia, in vascular dementia, or a mixed form of both), which is manifested by deterioration of memory and mental activity, dizziness, sensation of tinnitus, reticence and anxiety, headache and sleep disturbance.
Impaired peripheral circulation and microcirculation in the limbs, including limb arteriopathy and Raynaud's syndrome.
Neurosensory disorders (dizziness, sensation of tinnitus, hypacusia, senile macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy).

APPLICATION:

adults take 1 capsule 2 times a day, preferably in the morning and in the evening.
The drug can be used regardless of the meal. Capsules must be swallowed with water.
The maximum therapeutic effect is usually observed after 1 month.To achieve a sustainable effect, Bilobil capsule intensity should be used for at least 3 months, especially in elderly patients. After 3 months of treatment, it is necessary to check whether further therapy is advisable.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

hypersensitivity to the extract of ginkgo biloba or any inactive component of the drug.

SIDE EFFECTS:

from the gastrointestinal tract: very rarely - disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).
From the side of the central nervous system: very rarely - a headache.
On the part of the immune system: very rarely - skin allergic reactions (itching, redness and swelling).
In the presence of severe side effects, treatment should be discontinued.

Warnings regarding inactive components of the drug. The drug contains lactose. Patients with rare hereditary disorders - lactose deficiency, galactosemia, or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome should not use this drug.
Use during pregnancy and lactation. According to the results of experiments on animals, no harmful effects on the fetus were revealed. However, since the experience with the drug in women during pregnancy and lactation is limited, the drug should not be used during this period.
Children.Since there is no sufficient experience of using the drug in children, treatment of children with Bilobil Intense is not recommended.

INTERACTIONS:
