Composition

One suppository contains:

active substance: Chlorhexidine Bigluconate - 8 mg (chlorhexidine Bigluconate is used as a solution (concentration 20%));

Excipients: The basis for suppositories is macrogol-1500 (polyethylene oxide-1500), macrogol-400 (polyethylene oxide-400) - sufficient amount to obtain a suppository weighing 1.50 g.

Suppositories are white or white with a yellowish tint, and surface marbling is possible. Suppositories have a torpedo shape.

Hexicon^® D - an antiseptic preparation for local (intravaginal) use, is active against protozoa, gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, viruses, including against Treponema pallidum, Chlamidia spp., Ureaplasma spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Trichomonas vaginalis, gardneeree, aardheeredehyde, pardomma, Gardnee neeseria gonorrheae. Herpes simplex type II. Some strains of Pseudomonas spp., Proteus spp., A, are also resistant to acid-resistant forms of bacteria, bacterial spores. Hexicon^® D does not violate the functional activity of lactobacilli.

Pharmacokinetics

Systemic absorption with intravaginal administration is negligible.

Indications and usage

A drug Hexicon^® D, vaginal suppositories, indicated for the local treatment of genital infections in children, used in pediatric gynecology in girls from 6 months. and before the onset of menarche. Treatment of vulvovaginitis (including nonspecific, mixed, gonorrheal, trichomonas), bacterial vaginosis.

Prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (syphilis, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, chlamydia, ureaplasmosis), infectious and inflammatory complications in pediatric gynecology (for example, before surgical treatment of gynecological diseases).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Preliminarily freeing the suppository from the contour cell packaging, insert it into the vagina in the supine position.

For treatment: 1 suppository, 2 times a day, for 7-10 days. If necessary, it is possible to extend the course of treatment up to 20 days.

For the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases: 1 suppository no later than 2 hours after intercourse.

Interaction with other drugs

Not recommended simultaneous use with Iodine.

Not compatible with detergents containing an anionic group (saponins, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose) and soaps, if they are administered intravaginally.
