Indications

Prevention of intoxication and the hepatotoxic effect of alcohol. Treatment of acute alcohol intoxication of mild and moderate severity, as well as in the complex treatment of post-toxic disorders after acute severe alcohol poisoning.

Dosage and administration

The drug is prescribed to adults inside, regardless of the meal.

For the prevention of intoxication and the hepatotoxic effect of alcohol, 2 pills (2 g) are administered 1-2 hours before taking alcohol or 1 pill (1 g) 1 hour before taking alcohol and 1 pill (1 g) within 0.5 hours after taking alcohol.

For the treatment of acute alcohol intoxication of mild and moderate severity, 1 pill (1 g) is prescribed 4 times a day at intervals of 1-2.5 hours, in the next 2-3 days - 1 pill 2 times a day. In severe alcohol poisoning, after a course of IV Glutargin drug, 1 pill (1 g) of glutargin alcocline is prescribed 2 times a day for 20 days as part of complex therapy.

Adverse effects

Rarely, there may be a feeling of mild discomfort in the epigastric region and nausea immediately after the use of the drug, which pass away on their own.

Overdosage

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, pain in the chest, feeling of discomfort in the epigastric region, insomnia, transient short-term decrease in blood pressure, atrioventricular block, allergic reactions.

Treatment: symptomatic, if necessary, taking antihistamines, in severe cases - in / in the introduction of glucocorticosteroids.

Drug interaction

Caution must be exercised when combining the drug Glutargin with the following drugs:

- aminophylline increases the concentration of endogenous insulin in the blood under the influence of Glutargin Alcocline. Glutargin alcoklin may enhance the effect of antiplatelet agents (dipyridamole, etc.), prevents and reduces the neurotoxic effects that can occur during isoniazid therapy, weakens the effect of vinblastine.
