Composition and release form

Videstim - ointment for external use of 0.5%: 1 g of ointment contains Retinol palmitate 5 mg; bottles of 10 g.

pharmachologic effect

Dermatoprotective agent. Videstim stimulates the regeneration of the skin, enhances the division of epithelial cells of the skin, inhibits keratinization processes, prevents the development of hyperkeratosis. Local action due to the presence on the surface of epithelial cells specific retinol-binding receptors.

Indications

Ichthyosis, hyperkeratosis, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, pyoderma, atopic dermatitis, neurodermatitis, eczema, frostbite, burns, erosion, ulcers, cracks, skin atrophy after prolonged use of GCS.

Contraindications

Hypervitaminosis A, I trimester of pregnancy, acute inflammatory diseases of the skin, hypersensitivity to the components of Videstim.

Side effect

Local reactions: increased itching, hyperemia.

Possible: allergic reactions.

The occurrence of these side effects requires the abolition of Widdest.

Dosage and administration

Ointment Videstim should be applied to the affected skin with a thin layer 2 times / day. (in the morning and in the evening). Duration of use - 4-12 weeks.

special instructions

Videstim should not be used in combination with other drugs containing vitamin A and retinoids, in order to avoid hypervitaminosis A.
