Mechanism of action

Bepanthen plus is a preparation for external use with antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and improving tissue regeneration effect.

Chlorhexidine - antiseptic, which is active against bacteria, usually present on the skin or caught on the skin as a result of contamination of the wound.

Dexpanthenol in skin cells, it quickly turns into pantothenic acid, which plays an important role in both the formation and healing of damaged skin.

The drug reduces pain due to its cooling effect. When applied to the surface of the wound protects against infection, promoting healing.

Easy to apply and wash off. The cream is non-greasy and does not stick.

Indications and usage

- small wounds with the threat of infection (abrasions, scratches, minor cuts and scratches, cracks, minor burns);
- infected superficial skin lesions;
- cracked nipples during breastfeeding;
- chronic wounds (for example, trophic ulcers of the leg, bedsores);
- surgical wounds.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Not intended for the treatment or treatment of the auricle.
In the case of severe, deep and heavily contaminated wounds (such injuries require medical intervention).

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

The drug can be used during pregnancy and during breastfeeding, but its use on large surfaces of the skin should be avoided.

Dosage and administration

Bepanthen plus cream is applied with a thin layer once or several times a day on a previously cleaned wound surface or on inflamed skin.

Treatment of wounds can be carried out both by the open method and with the use of dressings.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions: possible urticaria, pruritus.

Special notes

Avoid getting the cream in the eyes. Do not take inside.

Large areas, heavily contaminated and deep wounds, as well as bitten and stabbed wounds require medical intervention (due to the risk of developing tetanus).

If the size of the wound for some time remains invariably large or the wound does not heal within 10-14 days, then consultation of the doctor is necessary. This is also necessary if the edges of the wound are highly hyperemic, the wound suddenly swells and there is severe pain or damage is accompanied by fever (due to the risk of sepsis).

Drug Interactions

As a precaution regarding possible interactions (antagonism or inactivation), Bepanthen plus should not be used simultaneously with other antiseptics.
