Mechanism of action

Antacid medication. After ingestion, the drug quickly interacts with the acidic contents of the stomach. This forms alginate gel, which has an almost neutral pH. The gel forms a protective barrier on the surface of the stomach contents, preventing the appearance of gastroesophageal reflux for up to 4 hours. Pharmacokinetics

The drug does not have systemic bioavailability (not absorbed).

Indications

- treatment of symptoms such as sour belching, heartburn, dyspepsia, feeling of heaviness in the stomach, occurring after a meal, in patients with gastroesophageal reflux or during pregnancy.

Dosage and administration

The drug is taken orally. The pill should be thoroughly chewed.

Adults and children over 12 years old appoint 2-4 tab. after meals and before bedtime (up to 4 times / day).

Elderly patients dose adjustment is not required.
