Composition

1 pill contains: thermopsis of lanceolate grass powder - 0.0067 g, sodium bicarbonate - 0.250 g
Excipients: potato starch, talc.

In a contourless cell pack of 10 tablets.

Mechanism of action

Cough pills have an expectorant effect, providing a moderate irritant effect on the receptors of the gastric mucosa, reflexively increase the secretion of bronchial glands. Alkaloids (cytizine, methylcytizine, pahikarpin, anagirin, thermopsin, thermopsidin) contained in thermopsis herb have a stimulating effect on the respiratory and, in high doses, on the vomiting centers. Sodium bicarbonate stimulates the secretion of bronchial glands, helps to reduce the viscosity of sputum.

As part of complex therapy: tracheitis, bronchitis.

Contraindications

- Hypersensitivity to the drug.
- Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum (in the acute phase).
- Pregnancy.
- Lactation period.
- Children's age (up to 12 years).

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Contraindicated.

Dosage and administration

InsideAdults appoint 1 pill 3 times a day for 3-5 days. Children over 12 years old - 1/2 -1 pill 3 times a day for 3-5 days. The duration of treatment is recommended by the doctor.

Drug interactions

Adsorbents, astringents and coating agents can reduce the absorption of alkaloids, which are part of the grass of thermopsis, in the gastrointestinal tract. Cough pills should not be used simultaneously with drugs containing codeine and other antitussive drugs, as this makes it difficult for coughing up sputum. To improve the dilution and separation of sputum is recommended to appoint abundant warm drink.

Overdosage

Symptoms: vomiting.
Treatment: symptomatic.
