Composition and release form
Metindol retard - tablets: 1 pill contains Indomethacin 75 mg; in packing of 25 and 50 pieces.
pharmachologic effect
Metindol retard has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic, desensitizing effects. Blocks cyclooxygenase in the arachidonic acid cascade, inhibits PG biosynthesis.
Indications
Rheumatic diseases, collagenoses, sciatica, peripheral neuritis, discopathy, gout (exacerbation), acute pain syndromes of radicular origin.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, enteritis, enterocolitis, asthma, pregnancy, lactation (breastfeeding should be abandoned), children (up to 14 years of age).
Side effects
Dyspeptic disorders, Gastrointestinal bleeding, anorexia, recurrence of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, headaches, dizziness, confusion, convulsions, hypertension, edema.
Dosage and administration
Metindol retard is taken orally. In acute conditions - at the beginning of 1 tab. 2 times a day for 5-10 days, then 1 tab. Once a day (in the evening) for 5-7 days; in chronic conditions - 1 tab. 1 time per day.
Storage conditions and shelf life
In the dark place at a temperature of 15-25 ° C. Shelf life - 5 years.
