Calendula flowers,
a pack of 50 g,
20 filter bags of 1.5 g

Mechanism of action

Means of plant origin. Calendula (marigold) has anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effect. The bactericidal effect on staphylococci and streptococci is expressed slightly. The amount of flavonoids, carotenoids and organic acids provides anti-inflammatory and capillary-strengthening effects, enhances the metabolic function of the liver (the composition of bile improves, the concentration of bilirubin and cholesterol decreases), increases secretory and excretory functions, stimulates the reparative processes of the gastrointestinal tract.

Indications and usage

Burns, purulent wounds, cuts, fissures of the anus; pharyngitis, sore throat; inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity (gingivitis, pyorrhea, inflammatory-dystrophic form of periodontal disease) and upper respiratory tract; in the combination therapy of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, gastritis, diseases of the gallbladder and biliary tract.

Dosage and administration

It is applied inside, topically, externally. The dosage regimen is set individually, depending on the indications and dosage form.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions; when taken orally, a feeling of bitterness in the mouth, a burning sensation in the epigastric region, pain in the abdomen.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to calendula preparations.

Special notes

In case of peptic ulcer and gastritis with high acidity, it is used together with antacids and antispasmodics.
