Mechanism of action

Enzyme preparation. Panzinorm Forte compensates for the insufficiency of the exocrine pancreatic function. Enzymes of lipase, amylase and protease, which are part of pancreatin, facilitate the digestion of fats, carbohydrates and proteins, which contributes to their more complete absorption in the intestine.

Indications and usage

• insufficiency of the exocrine function of the pancreas (including chronic pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis);
• chronic inflammatory-dystrophic diseases of the stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder; conditions after resection or irradiation of these organs, accompanied by a violation of food digestion, flatulence, diarrhea (as part of combination therapy);
• to improve the digestion of food in patients with normal gastrointestinal function in case of errors in nutrition;
• preparation for radiological and ultrasound examination of the abdominal cavity organs.

Contraindications

• acute pancreatitis;
• exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis;
• hypersensitivity to the components of Panzinorm Forte.
• Panzinorm Forte should not be prescribed to children under the age of 15 years with concomitant cystic fibrosis.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

The safety of the use of the drug Panzinorm Forte during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) has not been established.

Dosage and administration

Panzinorm Forte is taken orally, during meals, and 1 pill 3 times a day.

Special notes

When cystic fibrosis, the dose of Panzinorm Forte should be adequate to the amount of enzymes that are necessary for the absorption of fat, taking into account the quality and quantity of food consumed.

Drug Interactions

With simultaneous use with pancreatin there is a decrease in the absorption of iron and folic acid. The simultaneous use of histamine H2-receptor blockers, proton pump inhibitors or antacid drugs can reduce the effectiveness of pancreatin.

Overdosage

Symptoms: hyperuricuria, hyperuricemia, in children - constipation.
Treatment: It is necessary to discontinue the drug and prescribe symptomatic therapy.
