About 10 g (1.5 tablespoons) of the herb St. John's wort is placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, heat in a boiling water bath with periodic stirring for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is pressed. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought to 200 ml with boiled water.
Is ingested in the form of heat and 1/2 cup 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. Apply 1/2 cup of warm infusion 3-4 times a day for rinsing. The course of treatment is 5-10 days.
Allergic reactions are possible. With prolonged use, the drug can cause discomfort in the liver and a feeling of bitterness in the mouth,in some cases, by ingestion - a photosensitizing effect (increased sensitivity of the skin to the action of sunlight).
During treatment, avoid UV radiation (including tanning beds, UV lamps, prolonged exposure to the sun).
When combined, the drug Hypericum with antiviral agents - reverse transcriptase inhibitors (amprenavir, indinavir, efavirenz, nevirapine, nelfinavir, ritonavir, saquinavir), steroid drugs, inhibitors of the activity of proteolytic enzymes, as well as drugs cyclosporine and warfarin-yar.
In a dry, dark place; cooked infusion - in a cool place for no more than 2 days.
