Mechanism of action

Aqua Maris Nasal Spray Ectoin is a completely natural remedy that creates a physical barrier (“barrier”) for attaching allergens to the nasal mucosa. Aqua Maris® Ectoin protects against the development of allergies, prevents the development of allergic rhinitis and helps to restore the nasal mucosa damaged by allergens.

DESCRIPTION:

Spray nasal Aqua Maris® Ectoin contains a combination of ectoin and an isotonic solution of sea salt. Ectoin is a component that under natural conditions produce halophilic microorganisms that can exist in extremely adverse environmental conditions. Due to its high hydrophilicity (affinity for water molecules), ectoin forms strong clusters with them, forming an imperceptible protective "ectoin hydrocomplex" on the surface of the nasal mucosa. This complex prevents the contact of allergens with the cells of the nasal mucosa, protecting against the occurrence of an allergic reaction and reducing the severity of manifestations of allergic rhinitis. At the same time, allergens are fixed on the surface of the hydrocomplex and can be effectively removed from the nasal cavity when washed or blown out.The solution of natural sea salt, which is part of Aqua Maris® Ectoin, promotes the mechanical removal of allergens from the surface of the nasal mucosa and cleans its surface from settled street and household dust. Trace elements and sea salt minerals improve the function of the ciliated epithelium, have an anti-inflammatory and restorative effect on the nasal mucosa.

An isotonic solution of natural sea salt contributes to the mechanical removal of allergens from the nasal mucosa, cleans the mucosal surface of street and house dust accumulated on it. Trace elements and minerals of natural sea salt improve the function of the ciliated epithelium, have anti-inflammatory and restorative effects on the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity.

Indications

Protection of the nasal mucosa against the effects of: • pollen (in the period of seasonal flowering of plants);

• household allergens (house dust mites);
• animal hair;
• allergens of cockroaches and other insects;
• fungal allergens;
• allergens household chemicals, as well as other foreign particles entering the nasal cavity when breathing.

Symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis in order to reduce the severity of itching, sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes and nasal congestion.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug. Children's age up to 2 years. It does not affect the reaction rate when driving and working with other mechanisms.There are no contraindications for use in pregnant and lactating women.

Special notes

For maximum preventive effect, the spray nasal Aqua Maris® Ectoin should be used 10-15 minutes before contact with the intended allergen or other irritant. Spray nasal Aqua Maris® Ectoin should be applied systematically throughout the entire period of active flowering and dusting of plants that cause allergies. It is recommended to re-use Aqua Maris® Ectoin Nose Spray after each nasal cavity cleaning (blowing out or rinsing).

Composition

Ectoin - 2 g, sea salt - 0.9 g, purified water to 100 ml.

Does not contain preservatives.

Dosage and administration

Intranasal. Children from 2 years old and adults 1-2 injections into each nostril 3-4 times a day. If necessary, the drug can be used as often as required to achieve the desired effect. For children under 10 years old, use the spray only under the supervision of adults.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Before first use, remove the protective cap and press the sprayer 2-3 times to remove air from it. Do not cut off the tip. If the spray function is impaired (for example, if the bottle was in a horizontal position), then while holding the bottle in a vertical position, it is necessary to press the sprayer several times. For hygienic reasons, each vial of Aqua Maris® Nasal Spray Ectoin should be used by only one person.After each use, wipe dry the spray tip and close the bottle tightly.

Storage conditions

Operation, storage, transportation are carried out at an ambient temperature not higher than 25ºС. The medical device must be stored in a dry place inaccessible to children.

Shelf life

3 years. After opening the bottle, the spray should be used within 6 months. Do not use after expiration date.
