Active ingredient and dosage form

Sorbifer Durules - coated tablets:

1 tab. contains iron sulfate 320 mg, Ascorbic acid 60 mg; in dark glass bottles of 30 or 50 pcs.

Mechanism of action

Sorbifer Durules has antianemic effect, compensating for iron deficiency.

Indications and usage

Iron-deficiency anemia; iron deficiency. Prophylactic use in pregnancy, lactation and blood donors.

Contraindications

Increased sensitivity to components Sorbifer Durules, esophageal stenosis and / or obstructive changes in the digestive tract, increased body iron (hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis), impaired iron utilization (lead anemia, sideroblastic anemia, hemolytic anemia), children up to 12 years old (due to for lack of clinical evidence).

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Sorbifer Durules can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Adverse reactions

Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea or constipation. Pregnant and during lactation: prevention - 1 tab. per day, therapeutic dose - 1 tab. 2 times a day (in the morning and in the evening).
