Active ingredient

Capsules soft gelatin oval, with an opaque two-color shell: black and red. Capsule contents: dark brown liquid with a characteristic odor.
1 capsule contains fruit extract Serenoa repens (9-11: 1) (Extr. Sabalis serrulatae) - 320 mg;
Excipients: succinyl gelatin, glycerin, purified water, titanium dioxide, dye iron oxide black, cochineal dye red (E124);

Mechanism of action

The drug used for functional disorders of urination associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Fruit extract Sabalis serrulatae has anti-inflammatory, antiexudative and antiandrogenic effects. The mechanism of anti-inflammatory and anti-exudative action is due to inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, which leads to a decrease in the permeability of the vascular wall and edema of the gland tissues. Anti-inflammatory and anti-exudative action is especially important during attacks, accompanied by a rush of blood to the organs of the small pelvis. The mechanism of the antiandrogenic effect is not fully elucidated, but may be due to inhibition of 5-alpha reductase, resulting in disruption of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, which stimulates the proliferation of prostate cells.

Indications and usage

Treatment of functional disorders of urination caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia of stage I and II.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Dosage and administration

The drug is prescribed 320 mg (1 capsule) 1 time per day.
Capsules should be taken at the same time of day, after eating, without chewing, with a small amount of liquid.
