Active ingredient and dosage form

Proctosedyl M - ointment:

100 g of ointment contain cinchocaine 500 mg, Hydrocortisone 500 mg, framycetin sulfate - 1 g; in tubes of 10 g.

Proctosedyl M - rectal capsules:

1 rectal capsule contains cinchocain hydrochloride 5 mg, framycetin sulfate - 5 mg; in the package 20 pcs.

Mechanism of action

Local anesthetic, anti-inflammatory, antipruritic. Proctosedyl M blocks pain receptors (cinchoin), inhibits the formation of PG and other inflammatory mediators (hydrocortisone), is active against a number of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (framycetin).

Indications and usage

Hemorrhoids, itching in the anus.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.

Adverse reactions

Burning, dry mucous membranes, the addition of a secondary infection; effects characteristic of the systemic action of glucocorticoids.

Dosage and administration

Suppositories and Proxied M capsules are administered in the morning and evening, as well as after each bowel movement.
